Best Supporting Allies
Goblin Techies
– Ever heard of dynamite fishing? Well, it's pretty much legal here in DotA. The techies can plant a number of mines in several hooking spot and leaves the rest to Pudge. Aside from that, the Techies' Remote mines and Stasis trap can serve as a pretty good sentry for Pudge to know where to hook enemy heroes.
Omniknight
– Pudge would surely enjoy a good support hero by his side. No one is better than Omniknight when it comes down to support roles. With repel, Pudge can use Rot without hurting himself; With heal, Pudge does not need to worry about getting his HP low; With degen aura coupled with Rot's slow effect, the enemy will surely crawl to death.
Vengeful Spirit
– Two of a kind. Vengeful Spirit is a good suplement for Pudge and the team, having two heroes that can pull over 2 enemy heroes into a trap is very advantageous. Plus the Magic missile can work well for trapping 'hooked' enemy heroes.
Lord of Avernus
– Another good support hero for Pudge, LoA is the scourge version of the Omniknight. Aphotic shield to nullify the Rot effect to Pudge, Death Coil for healing the Butcher plus Frostmourne to add tons of weight to enemy heroes. The LoA-Pudge combo is certainly among the best 2-man tag in a lane.
Blood Seeker
– Strygwyr is another good partner for Pudge, with rupture the enemy heroes wouldn't dare move thus making him a stationary target for Pudge to hook. Plus using bloodrage on enemy disabler / stunner will prove useful for Pudge so his dismember won't be disrupted.

NOTE: Pudge can really work with most of the Heroes in DotA since the Butcher is very versatile and multi-purposed
Enemy Heroes to Watch Out
Doom Bringer– When laned against Doom Bringer, always be extra cautious to use your Rot or Lucifer will use that against yourself combined with his Doom. His level death can really hurt you as well. Plus going mano yi mano against Lucifer isn't a good idea with his high base armor against your obsolete base armor.
Silencer– Against a good Nortrom, Pudge will surely have a bad day. When Pudge triggers Rot on, Nortrom will silence him to death with the Butcher's own poison. If Pudge was able to pull a surprising hook, his combo with be stopped by Last Word or Global Silence.
Necrolyte– With the big amount of HP Pudge has, he better watch out against Rotund`jere 's Reaper's Scythe. Half life is as good as dead.
Anti-Mage– Having the skill to burn out all of the Butcher's Mana will really make Pudge worthless. Plus the ability to blink makes it even harder for Pudge to own Magina.
